The Eden Valley is one of the oldest and most beautiful winemaking regions in Australia. Eden Springs - in High Eden probably the best part of the region - is justifiably famous for its superbly ripe and full-flavoured Rieslings.
This fine tradition is set to continue, under winemaker Andrew Ewart and the new owners messrs. Jamison, Gatt and Bowyer who took over the property in early 2006.
These cool climate vineyards are high - up to 515m
above sea level – giving Eden Springs Riesling a soft
yet full limey-fresh palate and the wines age extremely
well. So get in there fast there were only 220 cases
made for the entire world.
Eden Springs Riesling 2004
Rich aromas of lime and hints of wax with an excellent weight of fruit and good balanced acidity. This gives the resulting wine a very clean and refreshing limey character, good full-flavours and a long lasting, just off-dry finish.
